 伯5:1 你且呼求．有誰答應你．諸聖者之中．你轉向那一位呢。
  Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn?
 伯5:2 忿怒害死愚妄人、嫉妒殺死癡迷人。
  For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.
 伯5:3 我曾見愚妄人扎下根．但我忽然咒詛他的住處。
  I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
 伯5:4 他的兒女、遠離穩妥的地步、在城門口被壓、並無人搭救。
  His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them.
 伯5:5 他的莊稼、有飢餓的人喫盡了、就是在荊棘裡的、也搶去了．他的財寶、有網羅張口吞滅了。
  Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.
 伯5:6 禍患、原不是從土中出來．患難、也不是從地裡發生．
  Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;
 伯5:7 人生在世必遇患難、如同火星飛騰。
  Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
 伯5:8 至於我、我必仰望　神、把我的事情託付他．
  I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
 伯5:9 他行大事不可測度、行奇事不可勝數．
  Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
 伯5:10 降雨在地上、賜水於田裡．
  Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:
 伯5:11 將卑微的安置在高處、將哀痛的舉到穩妥之地．
  To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
 伯5:12 破壞狡猾人的計謀、使他們所謀的、不得成就。
  He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
 伯5:13 他叫有智慧的中了自己的詭計．使狡詐人的計謀速速滅亡。
  He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
 伯5:14 他們白晝遇見黑暗、午間摸索、如在夜間。
  They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night.
 伯5:15 　神拯救窮乏人、脫離他們口中的刀、和強暴人的手。
  But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
 伯5:16 這樣、貧寒的人有指望、罪孽之輩必塞口無言。
  So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
 伯5:17 　神所懲治的人是有福的．所以你不可輕看全能者的管教。
  Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
 伯5:18 因為他打破、又纏裹．他擊傷、用手醫治。
  For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
 伯5:19 你六次遭難、他必救你．就是七次、災禍也無法害你。
  He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
 伯5:20 在饑荒中、他必救你脫離死亡．在爭戰中、他必救你脫離刀劍的權力。
  In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
 伯5:21 你必被隱藏、不受口舌之害．災殃臨到、你也不懼怕。
  Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
 伯5:22 你遇見災害飢饉、就必嬉笑．地上的野獸、你也不懼怕。
  At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
 伯5:23 因為你必與田間的石頭立約．田裡的野獸、也必與你和好。
  For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
 伯5:24 你必知道你帳棚平安、要查看你的羊圈、一無所失。
  And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.
 伯5:25 也必知道你的後裔將來發達、你的子孫像地上的青草。
  Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
 伯5:26 你必壽高年邁纔歸墳墓、好像禾捆到時收藏。
  Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.
 伯5:27 這理我們已經考察、本是如此．你須要聽、要知道是與自己有益。
  Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.
